About the event
The Champions of Mental Health Awards praises the efforts of seven outstanding Canadians who dedicate themselves to making improvements in the mental and substance use health sector. The Champions of Mental Health Campaign serves as CAMIMH's flagship program, recognizing the advocacy, exceptional stories, and groundbreaking solutions of individuals from across Canada. Their work aligns with our goals to reduce stigma and improve access to mental and substance use health services in all corners of the country.
This year's Champions will be celebrated at our annual Champions of Mental Health Awards event in Ottawa, coinciding with the observance of Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW) - Canada's national awareness campaign aimed at understanding the mental and substance use health challenges in Canada.
